A Day in December: A Black and White Bridal Shower

It all started with these fantastic Katharine Hepburn stamps.  Love them!

my DIY invites

I planned and designed my sister's bridal shower weeks in advance, and a day in December turned into an Event to Remember!  The all white food table looked beautiful...and the food was delicious as well.

One guest wanted to have dessert first and who could blame her?  The table was draped in a gorgeous black table cloth which I ordered on line, and tall silver candle holders added an elegant back drop.  The chocolate fountain was surrounded by delicious treats including marshmallows, graham crackers, peppermint oreos, homemade coconut cupcakes and donuts.  I think the donut is the new cupcake.  Hahaha...

I loved the bananas and strawberries dipped in chocolate!

No one sat at the table that I dressed with a black table cloth and white satin runners, but that's ok.  The table was stunning, with beautiful blue orchids and rhinestone encrusted flatware at each setting.
...and feathers added a little Old Hollywood touch.
What fun and wonderful day.  Everyone got to take home black and white journals with their initials and book marks.
I also had personalized black and white lollipops and sugar cookies shaped like a wedding cake.  I made those too!!  I think the black and white ribbon was my favorite.  (I also used it on the "thank you" sign.)
